Promotion of unity, love, peace, and good relations between all African communities, Ngai Tahu, and the rest of New Zealand. An understanding that Canterbury African communities have the same rights and responsibilities as other New Zealanders while maintaining their own culture, traditions, and identities. Establishment of strong networks among African community members.

The community is now reassured that their livelihood to invest in their adopted country is safe. These outcomes seeking to improve the social, economic, environmental, and integrate cultural well-being of our communities, now and for the future generations was achieved. Another achievement was working in partnership with iwi and the community. Of paramount importance giving back to the place we now call home will help to unite the community and bridge some of the social, economic and political gaps.

The benefits to the community were that people improved their knowledge of property investment, homeownership, and business management.They felt more empowered to go out there and push instead of turning to MSD for benefit. The youth/boys felt empowered because they had a strong support system that supported good behaviour.

I am thrilled to share my experience with the Canterbury African Communities. I have found immense encouragement and support from fellow community members from this amazing community. Whether it's celebrating achievements, offering advice, or providing words of encouragement during challenging times, the sense of camaraderie and solidarity on the CAC is truly inspiring. This encouragement has been instrumental in boosting my confidence and belief in myself and my abilities.Canterbury African Communities has been a beacon of communication, encouragement, and confidence for me. I am grateful for the opportunities it has provided to connect with like-minded individuals, share experiences, and grow together as a community.
